Research and evaluation

iRecover starts by researching different post-exercise recovery practices that can be use in multiple sports. Then it analyses in what ways athletes need recovery and identifies what works best depending on the support needed.
Collaboration between different universities, sport federations and rehabilitation institutes have been key to create the knowledge fundation to this project.

Recovery Programme

The recovery intervention programme is designed to be used by coaches and athletes. Its main purpose is to give athletes and coaches clear methods to improve recovery and therefore reduce fatigue.
This programme is thought to be integrated as a part of regular sports practice, not just something you do sporadically.

Digital App

With the development of a mobile application, recovery is at everyone’s fingertips. Delivering personalised recovery guidance and tips to both athletes and coaches.
The app offers:
1. Monitoring tools for recovery
2. Customised recommendations based on data
3. Injury prevention resources
4. Updates on training insights

Handbook & Resources

Alongside the digital app, long-term adoption can be done through the Handbook on Post-Exercise Recovery.
Findings can be easily turned into clear recommendations by including:
1. Practices and training guides
2. Strategies to maintain healthy habits
