What is iRecover?

The iRecover project is an Erasmus+ Sport initiative that aims to enhance health and performance in amateur sports through the implementation of post-exercise recovery programs through digital tools. By combining science, technology and teamwork in recovery, it improves general wellbeing and athletic performance.
By collaborating with sport institutions, universities and technology organisations across Europe, we have develop a digital app, a recovery intervention programme and a handbook which promotes effectively the recovery practices.
Specific Objectives
✔️ Identify the best post-exercise recovery practices through research.
✔️ To design and implement an intervention programme using those practices researched.
✔️To evaluate the recovery process through monitoring, making possible to spot changes before and after the intervention.
✔️The creation of digital tools to support coaches.
✔️Lastly, the development of a handbook containing recommendations for healthy recovery practices.
Wanted Results
✔️ Generate a long-term positive impact on grassroot sports by establishing recovery strategies that can be easily accessible.
✔️Produce a functional app, an adaptable recovery programme and a comprehensive handbook that coaches and clubs can use.
✔️ Reduce sport injuries, improve an athlete’s general performance and ease the coaches’ work.
