By integrating scientific research and digital tools, the project allows a rapid physical and mental recuperation, by also encouring to maintain an active lifestyle.

How does iRecover work

Research & Evaluation

iRecover starts by researching different post-exercise recovery practices that can be use in multiple sports. Then it analyses in what ways athletes need recovery and identifies what works best depending on the support needed. 

Collaboration between different universities, sport federations and rehabilitation institutes have been key to create the knowledge fundation to this project.

Recovery Programme

The recovery intervention programme is designed to be used by coaches and athletes. Its main purpose is to give athletes and coaches clear methods to improve recovery and therefore reduce fatigue. 

This programme is thought to be integrated as a part of regular sports practice, not just something you do sporadically.

With the development of a mobile application, recovery is in everyone’s fingertips. Delivering personalised recovery guidance and tips to both athletes and coaches. 

 

The app offers:

Alongside the digital app, long-term adoption can be done through the Handbook on Post Excercise Recovery.
